Exploring themes of order and rationality, Jigsaw contributes to a wider body of work considering systems and models of chance procedure and indeterminacy in the visual arts. Utilising familiar childhood games; dot-dots, tile puzzles, jigsaws, paint by numbers, this body of work intervenes in and manipulates their means of execution by applying models of objective and systematic chance, generating indeterminate outcomes and unforeseen combinations and relationships of imagery. 

This body of work originated from a series of collage constructions replicating a systematic approach to chance as undertaken by Ellsworth Kelly in his Spectrum Colour pieces. By applying combinations and elements from these chance derived constructions to the strict notions of order and rationality of the Jigsaw, these pieces provide considerations towards chance and order, determinacy and indeterminacy and the juxtapositions occurring between them.
